Week 5 Summary (05/10/1920 - 05/16/1920)

Week Five of the 1920 BBW Replay is in the books and in a twenty-five-week season, it means we have reached the 20% mark of the replay. If you are counting by the number of games played, we are right below 15% completed, so we still have a long way to go. This was another slow week - it was a travel week as half the teams made their first cross-country road swing, plus there was weather in the Midwest for a few days at midweek that impacted play and then the weather moved east, impacting play there. There was (finally) a full slate of games on Saturday and next week looks to be a busy one.

I am starting to see an excess of shutouts similar to what I saw in my 1911 replay and this makes me evaluate my gameplay and style. I tend to be aggressive when games are close, less so otherwise. I am still trying to get in my requisite number of steals and my success percentage is below 50% still, and I want to get in the appropriate number of sacrifices as well, and of course, a successful sacrifice implies yet another out … I guess I am still looking for that happy medium.
